Kate Weare Company Coming To The Joyce

Next week, the amazing Kate Weare Company will be performing at the Joyce Theater. They will be premiering Bright Land with live accompaniment from The Crooked Jades. I saw this company performing at DNA a year or two ago. I came to the theater having never heard of them and left the theater having fallen in love with the company. They just knocked me out. The New Yorker described them as being “passionate and precise, headlong and unpredictable” and Deborah Jowitt described their dance as being “violently passionate human intersections”.

There’s a reason why the word “passionate” shows up in both reviews.
